Sirrea’s Maternity Shoot

I was so excited about my second studio shoot ever and how it came out, I decided to put up the entire set! 🙂 This is Sirrea at a whooping 38 weeks!!! I’m anticipating baby pictures soon too!

Deborah and Eliel’s Wedding

I realized today that I haven’t done a wedding in almost over a month! So I was really excited about doing one today at the Rusty Pelican. I love shooting there. This was a very short and intimate event, and I was only there for an hour. I don’t know why I loved the flowers so much, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them!

Weights and Balance

We were able to choose 4 photographs for our weights & balance project for photo design, and I narrowed them down to these four:

Which I was pretty happy with 🙂
So what if I get ragged on for having a shallow depth of field. I like it >_< and that's all that matters.

(no, the iguana is not sleeping. it's dead.)

This was taken with my "cheapo" backup DSLR and a $90 lens… proving you don't need a million dollars worth of camera equipment to get a great picture! But I want them anyway… oh AMEX how I love thee ❤

Photo Design

I absolutely love my photo design class. The assignments are pretty open, and the images that are used to influence really set me off the edge! We were doing some exercises today and I decided to doodle around with some of the photos that I took at a Christening shoot last weekend.

Expect more experimental photos to be posted on my blog. As for posting weddings after weddings after weddings it tends to become repetitive. Yes, I shoot weddings on a constant basis. Yes, they come out beautiful. There isn’t much more I can do unless it’s something absolutely out of the ordinary and I refuse to waste anyone’s time viewing the same thing over and over! Like I said, unless it’s out of the ordinary =)

Well, I fell in love with photography all over again! I did a studio test shoot with Diana and realized that I had to post-process much more than I intended, but I’m pretty happy with the results. This was my first studio shoot ever so I can’t beat myself up for it. I think I’ve done better than most at their first studio shoot! I hope to implement a lot of future maternity shoots within the studio.

Although this website does a really good job at making my photos look dull, pixelated, and off-color… good job, wordpress! If you click on the images and open it up in a web browser the pixels come back and the actual quality of the photograph comes across much clearer.

I know I haven’t updated in a while; although I have been shooting weddings left and right I haven’t had any time to sit down and actually work on them for display. I’m approaching the 50th wedding mark very soon and dates are already booking up fast for the summer! I’ve finally begun my rigorous (but rewarding) full-time photography education at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where I am going to compete an entire bachelors program in well under three years. As my education progresses my rates will rise so lock them in while you can! I’m learning so much and enjoying every second of it!
